Program

The GR-Ex program supports development of innovative and novel scientific projects. Collaborative projects are mandatory among GR-Ex partners.

The overall GR-Ex budget for the 2017 project call is 350K € plus recruitments.

Eligibility

All GR-Ex partners and clinicians associated to the GR-Ex program are welcome to apply. Clinicians are required to team up with GR-Ex partners in order to propose a project; The Principal Investigator (PI) must be a GR-Ex partner or one of his team members.

Selection of the project

The members of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) and the Scientific Committee (SC) will first evaluate the projects. The GR-Ex Executive Committee (EC) will make their final decisions based on the final reviews and discussions with the SAB during the GR-Ex EC meeting to be scheduled Saturday, 20th of February 2016. Results will be both emailed and posted online.

  • Selection of the projects: 2nd – 4th of March 2017


How

  • All project proposals must be submitted in English
  • Proposal details should not exceed 5 pages
  • Budget limit for projects is 50K €
  • No more than 2 projects per partner as PI (no limitation as collaborators).


On time applications will be evaluated based on

  • Scientific interest (significance, novelty)
  • Feasibility (experimental approach, environment)
  • Added value of the project to the GR-Ex

The purpose of this project call is to finance innovative and pertinent scientific projects for both GR-Ex partners and associated-partners.  The overall GR-Ex budget for the 2013 project call is 250K € plus recruitments. Supplies, courses and support for research projects (mice engineering, genomic studies) are eligible for funding. Collaborative projects are mandatory among GR-Ex partners and/or collaborators.

Recruitments

2 graduate students (3 year scholarship), 2 post-doctorates (2 year contract) and 1 engineer for the “erythropoiesis platform” (2 year contract). We will also grant 1 junction fellowship for 6 months.

Selection of the project

The members of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) will first evaluate the projects. The GR-Ex Executive Committee (EC) will make their final decisions based on the SAB recommendations and discussions during the GR-Ex EC meeting scheduled on March 7th and 8th 2013 in Paris, France.

  • Project call start: Friday, 21th of December 2012
  • Project call deadline: Friday, 22nd of February 2013
  • Selection of the projects: Thursday and Friday, 7th and 8th of March 2013


How

  • All project proposals must be submitted in English
  • Resume unnecessary, proposal details should not exceed 5 pages

  • Graduate students will be auditioned by the Doctorate School affiliated to the laboratory

All requests that do not fall into the annual call for proposals will be discussed among GR-Ex EC members.

All requests must be formally submitted in writing to the PM for review.

The EC will evaluate each request and decisions will be made on the basis of the scientific excellence and relevance of each proposal together with the budgetary allowance.
